Hi, guys! It’s time for another book haul. I’ve posted pictures of some of these around the place, but these are all the books I got since my last book haul. Firstly, I finally got my hardcover copy of A Court of Mist and Fury! I LOVE this series. And I’m also giving away one of these mugs by Read at Midnight to a lucky Aussie. Hurry while the giveaway is still open! Secondly, I got both Way Down Dark and Last Dark Dust by J.P. Smythe because I’ve heard so many amazing things about this series. I’ve read the first few pages of Way Down Dark and it’s already kinda emotional #THEFEELS I got The Rook by Daniel O’Malley, which I’ve already read and reviewed. So you should go check that out, because this book is pretty awesome. I also love this cover, but I have to wait until December for the sequel to come out in the same size. The struggle is real. Book Haul!

I haven’t done a book haul in ages because I haven’t been buying too many books. Mainly because I’ve been poor (as I’m a student and HR are terrible at doing their job) and I am actually really running out of place to put them. We are planning to renovate the library and do floor to ceiling bookshelves (it will be like 20-30 linear metres of shelves which will be amazing and I can’t wait!) but it hasn’t happened yet. But these are the guys I have picked up recently. So the the first books I picked up are The Hallowed Ones and The Outside by Laura Bickle. I read the first book and then it took forever for The Outside to come in the mail, but it’s here now and so everything is okay. We can all stop panicking. This series is about a young Amish girl who takes in an outsider during a vampire apocalypse. It has an awesome protagonist, and it’s super gory. I loved it. See my review of this one here: Book …

Two Bookhauls!

So I haven’t been buying a lot of books lately as a) I haven’t had a lot of time for reading as I am (STILL) writing my thesis, b) we are kind of about to start renovating and I’ve been buying kitchens and couches instead (yeah. I will all the awards for adulting). But these are just some books I’ve bought since my last book haul, and the books I got for Christmas (which I forgot that I didn’t post on here because I was lacking a computer for a while. Fogive me). First up! Christmas bookhaul of amazingness. I got some pretty awesome books for Christmas. Let me introduce you to them (with lots of CAPS because of EXCITEMENT!). I got a Penguin Library Edition of The Time Machine by H.G. Wells (Because I LOVE H.G. Wells!), an AMAZING edition of The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. A long overdue book haul.

Hello, dearest ones. As you all know I have been off thesis-ing. I have also had my father almost dying from septic shock because a damn surgeon doesn’t know how to wash their hands properly, thrown into the mix (he’s totally fine by the way). Anyway, it’s been chaos here in Tina-land. BUT some good things have also happened, I have been offered a job, but it does mean extending out my PhD so I can get a bunch of experiments done before the next grant round. So that means that my thesis writing has become a little less frantic, and hopefully that will mean I will actually be able to read something other than scientific journals. There just really aren’t enough dragons in scientific journals. Anyway… Book haul! First up is the riffle paper version of Alice in Wonderland. It this looks familiar, it’s because it sort of matches the Puffin in Bloom books (it’s not the same size, but similar otherwise). Getting this in the mail was so exciting because I pre-ordered it …

Hello everyone and welcome to October! In September I didn’t get as much reading done as I would have liked, but as I mentioned in my previous post, I have started writing my PhD thesis, so it’s unlikely I will be getting a lot of reading or posting done for the next few months. Probably the most exciting thing here this month was that I got to release the official teaser for the third book in The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon in Bloomsbury’s The Mime Order blog tour. I had a pretty good reading month this month. I read 7 books, almost half of that being the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. Including the amazing Queen of Shadows which comes out on September 1st! In other interesting news, earlier this month I was featured by Hazel from Stay Bookish for her Novel Portraits feature. So that was super exciting! I also got a new lens for my camera, the Lensbaby Spark which takes awesome crazy photos. So you can look forward to some of those next month. July Book Haul Parts Two and Three

So I have two bookhauls today (I guess they could be merged into one, but I think they go nicely as separate entities). If you missed Part One you can view it (and all my book-hoarding craziness) here. Firstly, we have my SUPER B&N LEATHERBOUND CLASSICS BOOK HAUL! LOOK AT ALL ITS MAJESTY!!! They are probably three of my most anticipated book releases of the year (along with Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray, which I also received in ebook format) I’ve already read an extended preview of The Dinosaur Lords from Netgalley and although it’s a bit … unusual I am enjoying it (how could I not enjoy something with dinosaurs? how?) and I’m a few chapters in to Armada. July Book Haul – Part One

Um… So I bought quite a few books this month, and this is only Part One. I have more on the way! That is a lot of books, and yes that is a Kindle in there too. That was added to my collection just yesterday. This is absolute proof that I have zero self-control. Most of these are books that I’ve read before but didn’t own. The newbies that are to be read are: The Troop, The Wrath of the Dawn, The Darkest Part of the Forest, The Phantom of the Opera, and Looking for Alaska. I also received The Looking Glass House and Where the Stars Still Shine from Bloomsbury. And I received a hardcover copy of The Other Side of Eve from the Author, Paul Ikin after I bought the Kindle copy and was really enjoying it.
