Book Haul!

Hi, guys! It’s time for another book haul. I’ve posted pictures of some of these around the place, but these are all the books I got since my last book haul. Firstly, I finally got my hardcover copy of A Court of Mist and Fury! I LOVE this series. And I’m also giving away one of these mugs by Read at Midnight to a lucky Aussie. Hurry while the giveaway is still open! Secondly, I got both Way Down Dark and Last Dark Dust by J.P. Smythe because I’ve heard so many amazing things about this series. I’ve read the first few pages of Way Down Dark and it’s already kinda emotional #THEFEELS I got The Rook by Daniel O’Malley, which I’ve already read and reviewed. So you should go check that out, because this book is pretty awesome. I also love this cover, but I have to wait until December for the sequel to come out in the same size. The struggle is real. I got a copy of the new paperback edition of …

June Book Haul #1 and the unacceptable practices of booksellers.

So I don’t know how this happened. Where did all these books come from? Is it time for another book buying ban? What can I say, Dymocks was having a sale and I was really close to getting my Booklovers Gold card. So I bought three of the little black penguin books, three popular penguins (which are three for $20 at Dymocks at the moment), one Agatha Christie novel and the hardcover of The Miniaturist. I ordered the Barnes and Noble leatherbound edition of Peter Rabbit ages ago and I was starting to wonder if it was going to come. I have the new edition of The Jungle Book in the Puffin Children’s Classics set. I also received Thief’s Magic by Trudi Canavan from Hachette Australia (I am part of the upcoming blog tour, which includes a giveaway – so stay tuned) and I’m really excited to get into this one. And finally, and disappointingly I received the beautiful Summer and Bird, which unfortunately has quite a large amount of sticker damage. That brings me to a …

It’s finally complete!

So I love these little editions of puffin classics. I have been after a copy of Grimm’s Fairy tales for quite some time, but my collection is now complete. If you’re after these editions yourself you can find them here: Boxset  Individual books: Black Beauty, The Call of the Wild,The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Wind in the Willows, The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Secret Garden, The Wizard of Oz, Anne of Green Gables,Peter Pan, Matilda, Tales of the Greek Heroes, A Little Princess. I think that’s all of them. There is also Grimm’s Fairy Tales which is out of print and The Jungle Book which has not been released yet.

April book haul

So I picked up some extra work in the last few weeks, so I went a little crazy. What can I say? But they’re nice aren’t they? Most of these are additions to series that I have been collecting. The beautiful editions of Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens and Sherlock Holmes are from the White’s Fine Edition collection. Unfortunately I don’t think I will ever own this whole collection as about two of these are now nearly impossible to find for a reasonable price. I did order Treasure Island in this edition, but they couldn’t get it so they just sent me a random edition – I was not happy. I have also added this beautiful copy of Jane Eyre to my Barnes and Noble Leatherbound Classics Collection. These books are just beautiful and excellent quality, especially for the price. This lovely Penguin Clothbound edition of Metamorphoses by Ovid made it to my very limited set of these books. And as you can see, my set of Penguin English Library Editions is growing rapidly. I …
